Activities and to-dos

An activity is a single thing on a single day: a run, a yoga class, a rest day or a to-do. Habits, routines, plans and projects are all made up of activities.

Activities vs to-dos

  • Activities (Workout, Run, Walk and so on) belong to a day. If the day passes, they’re marked as missed.
  • To-dos stay owed until they’re done. If the day passes, a to-do carries over and shows Still to do.

Add an activity

  1. Tap + in the tab bar, then Add activity.
  2. Choose To-do or an activity type.
  3. Name it. Any templates you’ve saved appear as suggestions. Tap Continue.
  4. Optionally add a Duration and a Date. Turn on Already completed to log something you’ve already done.
  5. Tap Add Activity (or Add To-do). Skip details adds it without these.

You can also add an activity to a specific day from the Calendar with + Add.

Activity details

Tap any activity to open it. From here you can:

  • Complete it (you get a little confetti). To undo, tap Completed again.
  • Skip it. It stays in your plan marked as skipped, and you can Restore it.
  • Schedule or Reschedule it. Choose a date, and optionally a time with Set a time. Keep for later removes the date.
  • Edit its name and type.
  • Set key: mark it as today’s most important activity.
  • Add photo to capture the moment.
  • Write a personal note in How did this activity go?. It saves automatically.
  • Read Coach’s notes and any Details (exercises or steps).
  • See Earlier sessions for repeating activities, so you can compare results.

To delete an activity, tap the options button and choose Delete. This can’t be undone. Activities that are part of a routine can’t be deleted on their own: skip it for the day, or edit the routine to remove it.

Linked workouts

If you’ve connected Apple Health, Health Connect or a wearable, workouts you record there are matched to your planned activities. A matched activity shows a Linked workout section with stats like duration, distance, heart rate and heart rate zones.

Workout data can take a little while to sync from your device or wearable. If a workout hasn’t appeared, see Health data isn’t syncing.
